(DALLAS-FT. WORTH, TEXAS) When retirement planners Britni Levensailor, Alan Maples and Mark Robinson participate in a “Retirement Plan Check-Up” meeting, they listen…a lot. The “Check-Up” is a complimentary meeting that DFW Retirement Planners offers to folks in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.
According to Alan Maples, who is an estate planning attorney and retirement planner, listening is critical. He says, “In our complimentary retirement plan check-up meetings, we’re trying to truly get a sense for what’s important to the person we’re meeting with. What are their goals for retirement? Yes, listening is important.” Maples said that recently he’s finding that new clients appreciate being in an environment where they can be comfortable asking questions. He added, “We’ll sometimes hear from people that their previous planner didn’t really take the time needed to fully explain things. We believe that understanding your investments is very important. And we want our clients to feel comfortable asking any question about their plan.” Maples said he also regularly hears from people with 401K questions. He continued, “We talk about 401Ks quite a bit on our radio program DFW Retirement Radio and people are very interested in our strategies for maximizing a 401K. Again, we’re glad to help in any way possible.”
Britni Levensailor, retirement planner and co-founder of DFW Retirement Planners, says she regularly gets questions about taxes. She said, “At DFW Retirement Planners, we’re always looking for strategies that our clients can use to pay less in taxes during their retirement years. For example, our tax strategic partners help business owners reduce their taxes by 20-40% and more.”
Mark Robinson, retirement planner and Medicare expert, said that people are very interested in finding ways to save money in retirement. Robinson said, “Many of my clients are motivated to save on expenses during retirement. And, since we devote time on DFW Retirement Radio to the topic of maximizing Medicare savings, I receive many questions on the topic. Recently I was able to save a person over $44,000 in annual prescription costs by using our strategies. And once people figure out that these savings can be substantial, they ask questions about other areas of their life. They get excited about found money.”
Maples, Levensailor and Robinson are all co-hosts of DFW Retirement Radio, one of Dallas-Ft. Worth’s most listened to programs on retirement planning. DFW Retirement Radio is broadcast Saturdays from 2-3 PM on 820 WBAP Radio. DFW Retirement Radio is sponsored by DFW Retirement Planners, with offices in Dallas and Ft. Worth, Texas.
