(DALLAS-FT. WORTH, TX) When it comes to retirement planning for women, DFW Retirement Radio regularly features discussions and information regarding why retirement planning and money management is very different for women.
According to Britni Levensailor, Co-host of DFW Retirement Radio, women’s needs are very unique when it comes to preparing for retirement. She said, “Women have to be very careful as they approach retirement. Regularly on DFW Retirement Radio we’ll talk about the issues that create this need. From a longer life expectancy to having fewer years in the work force, there are a number of things women need to address proactively to be truly prepared for retirement. If not adequately addressed, the last years of retirement can be especially difficult.” Levensailor, who grew up with 5 sisters, said that her parents taught them regarding the need to be educated about money. “From an early age, my parents taught my sisters and me that women need to be very deliberate in handling money. Women have a very unique set of needs when it comes to their money and in planning for retirement.”
Pete Thomson, Co-host of DFW Retirement Radio, added “Show topics like this really give us an opportunity to give back to our audience. No other financial or retirement programs feature this kind of information. I’m proud of the team at DFW Retirement Planners for wanting to focus on women’s issues when it comes to retirement and investing. This underscores their desire to help people.”
Ms. Levensailor said that the radio features on retirement planning for women will probably create questions for listeners. She said, “Our segments on women’s retirement strategies get the issues on the table. The next step for anyone who wants to learn more or needs help, is to come in and see us at DFW Retirement Planners.
